So you want to know a little bit more about me? Well, here you go!
My name is Jaime. I'm a guy that always seems to have a camera in his hand, staring aimlessly at buildings and birds.
My journey into photography started at IUP after taking a class with Dr. Ron Juliette. He opened my eyes to a whole different way of looking at the world. Photography is a fantastic way of projecting what you might want to say, but can't quite find the words to express. Dr. Juliette set the foundation. Everything else has been trial and a lot of error!
I find myself enjoying landscape, animal, architectural and sports photography. Funny thing about photography is knowing that someone else, long before you, has taken a picture of the exact subject you find yourself staring at. The fun is trying to make your shot different. I look for things that set themselves apart from the norm or angles that others may not have taken. Photography provides me with a release and an outlet to express a little creativity.
When I'm not taking pictures, I'm probably getting lost in the woods with my wonderful girlfriend Kristen. I'm a sports junkie. Grew up playing soccer and hockey. Two knee injuries have slowed me down a little bit but my place of peace will always be found in an ice rink.
If you leave my site with one thing, it would be to know that you don't need a fancy camera. You don't need others to tell you how great your "stuff" is. All you need is time, thought and a little bit of skill, and you can make great pictures.
I appreciate the interest in my work! I'm glad you have taken a little bit of your day to learn more about me and the hobby that keeps me sane!
Thanks for taking the time!
